Despite only making our way to two houses last night (next door and across the street), we still had a fun fun Halloween! We all put our costumes on and welcomed the trick or treaters. Mama llama in the kitchen stirring and mixing squash soup with ghosts
And the rest waiting for ghosts, goblins and princesses to come to the door
Mary Poppins had a few of her friends come to the door and many more people that she didn't know, she was thrilled to be handing out candy from her bag of goodies! It's almost more fun to stay at home because you get to see so many more costumes up close, almost... ;)
Some other Halloween fun, ghostly pretzels
I had these on my of my pinterest boards...We have made these in the past as snowmen during the winter. These are so easy, melt white chocolate, dip. Melt some semi-sweet chocolate, dip toothpick in the semi-sweet after the white chocolate is mostly set and tip the toothpick on the pretzels to make eyes and nose. Delish! And, fun for the kids to help with too!
And, because we couldn't go outside and play yesterday...a little pumpkin puppet fun!! I saw these here just the other day and thought they were adorable, especially since we find ourselves singing the "Five little pumpkins" song often around here.
I simplified it a bit by just cutting the pumpkins from orange felt, using permanent marker, hot glue and gloves from our stash of many...but it provided lots of entertainment to us in a very short amount of time!
Hope you had a great Halloween and your tummy doesn't feel too icky from too much candy!! I'm linking up with Modern Marigold today with the Pin-did challenge...check out some other fun from Pinterest over there. Also, you can see some of my other recent "pin-dids" here, here and here.
Have a great day!
