I can hardly believe that the flurry we called February is over already, even with the extra day we had! February is such a busy month with my birthday and Violet's birthday at each end and Valentine's day in between. I am really amazed at how much we crammed into one little month! But, really, who am I kidding...aren't all months busy! ;)
Of all of the things I created this past month, my little lovebird necklace tutorial got so much love!
I was amazed to see how many different places it ended up...here, and here and here, all over the world! I truly love my necklace and I am glad that there are others out there that might be trying it too!
And now as the birthday decorations come down and with Violet's birthday dress just a week old, it seems it is already time to move on to Easter dresses and pants and bow ties and even hats perhaps...
I always feel like I need a bit of time to slow down and come down after an onslaught of creative endeavours, a bit of time to breath, perhaps. And so, that is what we have been doing here, for now anyway.
So, yesterday we took down our birthday and Valentine's decorations. It was weird after having had many of them up for the whole month of February. But, then again, refreshing. I felt the same way I felt after taking down our Christmas decorations, suddenly it was time for a fresh start. And today, although I know that there are places getting snow, and lots of it even, we are enjoying cool Spring air and the windows open. It feels like a fresh start.
We are planting some seeds... We are getting haircuts...
And instead of love floating through the air, we are now floating a bit of luck (I told you that we were going to keep these as ever changing mobiles!)...
Violet got a real kick out of making these shamrocks because she got to sit on my lap and pick them and help to feed them through my sewing machine to make them...an awesome craft as far she was concerned! And, oh I am hoping that those shamrocks do their job with luck, because we all need a lot of love, but a little luck is always nice too, isn't it? (And, no, we didn't paint our door to match the shamrocks ;) that was last summer's project!)
And so, with March comes the making of my Covert Robin gift swap, comes Easter outfit plans, comes garden clean up, comes garden planning, comes Easter additions to my etsy shop, comes Spring and so comes my one year blogging anniversary!
And so with March comes lions and lambs...although it seems like both mother nature and I might be a bit confused as to the order in which they should come because today it seems rather lamb-like and I fully anticipate the end of March feeling a bit lion-like!
Happy First Day of March!
