Back in February, Violet was given some fabric markers and plain t-shirts as a gift for her birthday. After receiving them she immediately wanted to make a shirt for herself, it is truly a work of art and a lot of fun.
Recently, while putting some things away, I found said markers and extra t-shirts and thought it would be a fun afternoon project. This time, instead of simply letting each kid have at their shirts on their own, I asked them what they wanted to draw on their shirts.
Violet: "a doll having a tea party"
Henry: "a ukulele, a pitar (guitar), a drum..."
Me: "Henry, you have to pick one"
Henry: "a ukulele, a pitar, stars..."
Okay, so I decided a ukulele and a guitar look similar enough to call it whatever he wanted...and gave him some stars.
Someone was giving away these never been worn shirts because they didn't fit her son...score for me! The octopus was painted on free hand and then I appliqued a few little fish to go with him. The bike was fee handed as well. I based it off of this shirt that is Daddy's favorite! Henry loves it, because it is just like Daddy's! Not until I had finished it did I realize that it is a perfect match with these shorts!!
I feel like he's a mini bike messenger!
