Alrighty...So yesterday we had notebook pouches and today we've got clutches and one more pouch! All tolled, fifteen things made with zippers this weekend!
That's a lot! And, to be honest, before this past weekend I had little experience with zippers, a few pillow cases, a little pouch for myself and a dress...but, after 15 zippy pouches...I've got the hang of it!
I made some foldover clutches using Kristin's tutorial as a starting point.
These are so much fun to make! They are pretty quick too! In fact, after having cut out my pieces earlier in the day Saturday, I found myself sewing this one up quickly for myself as Brad was on his way to pick up our babysitter!
Our first night out since this date...I know we should get out more ;)
I am totally in love with this little clutch! It's simply perfect when you need just a few things, for dates, for errands...whatever! So, why not make some more to give as gifts...
Next up a little open wide zipper pouch for my niece.
The fabric is some handprinted fabric I received during a handprinted fabric swap. I added a little embroidered kitty face on one side and then some more embroidery on the other side
And, it's filled with all sorts of handstitching goodies for little hands, embroidery hoop, buttons, felt, needles, burlap...
I love this little guys face...so cute with the tongue out!
And, there you have it, the tale of the fifteen zippers! Oh, and incidentally, now, I have used all of my handprinted fabrics! Between this kitty pouch, this pillow case and the clutches and pouch below I found beautiful ways to showcase the fabrics I received (here and here) through the handprinted fabric swap.
Oh, I do hope everyone likes their gifts!
