We've already been in our "neck of the woods" for four years now! It's hard to believe that it's been four years since city living...but equally as hard to believe...that we are still finding out about new goings on here where we live, even after four years. Well, to be fair, these past four years have been a bit busy with a baby, and two moves in our first year in Maryland...and you know, things only get more busy...
Anywho...one of our new finds was a honey harvest festival that took place a bit down the road from us. YUM!
After we did our little Sally dress photo shoot the kids and I headed off to the honey festival...Where we got to taste loads of different kinds of yummy honey.
"If you want to be stung act like a bear and growl and wave your arms, if you don't want to be stung act like a tree!"
Incidentally, you could also pull a "Ferdinand" and unbeknownst to you grab hold of a bumblebee...which will also get you stung...yup, happened to me yesterday, "Oooouch!"
And where Bumblebee Boy was perfectly at home! Where we learned about a National Wildlife Refuge (Patuxent Research Refuge, sorry no link available due to the government shutdown) that we had no idea existed before now.
