Last year I did a crazy collage of nearly all things 2012...it took forever, and there were no links included (oops!). This year, instead, I thought I'd take a little mini look back over each month. There was no way I could include everything (I didn't even include any of my Inner Child Giving projects), but here are some of my favorites...
February...Between Valentine's Day, my birthday and Violet's too, February is a big month for us! I made myself one of my favorite dresses and one of my favorite pillows too! We made this Valentine to send to our family and friends and it still melts my heart! Plus, for Violet's birthday there were stars, stars and more stars!
April...In April I made some polka dotty napkins that made me smile, the "Covert Robin" appeared again, some handmade and handprinted bunnies were born and we learned just how much fun a sharpie and a balloon can be!
Plus there was a ton of kid sewing for KCW... And our Spring mobile got lots of attention!
May brought lots of cars for Henry's birthday, in which I made tons of car shirts and a pair of awesome shorts, lots of Fancy pants, and lots of kid crafts...including corsages, bags and allium!
June... In June there were gifts for Dads...key chains and money clips, for birthdays...a party at the zoo shirt and a rose pendant...for bridal showers...mini bow ties, and for any occasion...scrappy bowls!
July... July brought the beginning of a summer art series with my pal Melissa. We had so much fun with it and loved seeing everyone's different art projects! I made Violet a summery nightgown that I wish was mine. We made our own hummingbirds when we were sure they wouldn't show up in our garden! And used our collected seashells to make stepping stones!
August... In August we checked lots of craftiness off our "summer bucket list". I made new bucket hats. Prefontaines became our favorite summer time shorts...And, we sent Violet off to her first day of Kindergarten with a bunch of handmades...
Oh, and I sewed up a bunch of stuff for myself too, thanks to selfish sewing week!
October... In October we had lots of fun with Halloween and other dress up. We had a block party with our neighbors, had fun decorating for fall and Halloween and Violet got an adorable fox dress!
November... At the beginning of November I was joined by eight friends and we reflected on the things that we are most thankful for. Reading those each day was such a treat! Later in the month, I played around with laminate (thanks to Kelley!). And then there was some Thanksgiving decorating, a headdress that Henry didn't remove for days and a pretty birthday crown!
December... And just last month there were campfires, paper trees, wintry pillows (love these, they make me so happy!), the launch of the ebook Handmade Winter (have you bought your copy yet?!), lots and lots of salt dough ornaments and matching party skirts!
Phew! What a year!
Not to mention that two of my projects were featured in magazines in November too! Which has lots of people loving my little raccoon eye pillow and eye mask!
It's been such a fun year of making, connecting and learning! The year to come holds...
I'm not quite sure...a couple of new opportunities...more sewing for me...definitely more sewing for Violet, although, for Henry, I'm not sure, he's become too picky (he still hasn't worn his flannel pants or his Bimaa hoodie!) and maybe finally a quilt!
Oh, as usual, I'm terrible with goals, sorry! We shall see what unfolds.
Thanks for reading! Happy New Year to you again!
