Welcome to the Handmade Winter blog tour!
Well, now that Christmas is over and all of the hustle and bustle of gift making is behind me, I am finding myself "virtually" flipping through the pages of Handmade Winter and making lists of things I want to make...There are so many yummy and creative things within the pages it was hard to decide where to start.
Finally we decided to make some sweet mini vases, a project contributed by Marigold of Hideous! Dreadful! Stinky! These were so much fun to make! And seriously addicting too! We went from working on a fun little project to using up of all our supplies and making a whopping ten mini vases!
All four of us got in on the fun, even Daddy! We started out simple at first, and then started to get a little more "fancy" and then, toward the end it became a bit of a hodge podge... In the words of Violet:
"This is very, very, very, very fun!"
And, indeed it really is! We spent an entire morning making these and then we were off to find some flowers to put in them! They were equally excited for a chance to play "florist"! This project is a perfect wintertime project, for adults and kids alike! Who doesn't love a little bit of fresh flowers around the house when it's cold and dreary outside of the house!
How about making a little bud vase with a sweetheart rose for your Valentine?
It's also really the perfect little project for anytime too, not just winter. Think, Mother's Day, teacher gifts...oh the possibilities!
