Ok, yes, I know that Kids Clothes Week is over...but I've still got a few things floating around here that I had hoped to sew up last week...so I'm just going to keep sewing.
Last week a great big order from Girl Charlee arrived and in it was a sweet little bunny knit that I purchased intending to use it for a pair of matching "Eastery" raglans. I know not all kids are into the matchy, matchy thing, but for some reason (for right now at least) Violet and Henry really get a kick out of it, so I figure give them what they want right... (Ps...I don't know why Violet's one sleeve looks longer than the other...it's not...and Henry managed to get chalk all over himself before photos...)
The neck isn't perfect on either of these, oops! I was in a hurriedly making these when I should have been preparing for a house full of Henry's preschool friends for a morning of onesie making (which was so much fun!), but alas, you know how it is, squeeze it in when you can!
They really do love that they match! I made Violet the 7/8 has opposed to the 5/6 that I made her here and here mostly because they are exactly the same shirt so I thought one might as well be bigger than the other, also because there isn't a ton of stretch in this bunny fabric so I thought she'd be more comfortable with a looser fitting shirt. (I'm fairly certain he's trying to slap her hand so she gets unsteady and falls off above...she thinks it's hilarious!)
I'm totally loving these neon stripes from Girl Charlee! Between last weeks Celestial tee and then this green stripe...
I love the pop of color, and it makes the shirts look super Springy! So, maybe I didn't make it in time for Kids Clothes Week but I'm still checking things off my list!
And, oh my...
