It's no secret that we love fairies around here...and the release of the latest Tinkerbell movie, The Pirate Fairy, has got us all aflutter...Just last month we celebrated Violet's birthday with a Woodland Animal and Fairy theme complete with fairies flying and DIY fairy kits for the kids to take home.
We've also had several other little fairy projects over the years... The Supper Tree Farm Fairies, Woodland Fairy Flower Crowns, Fairy Bells, Fairy Houses, Clothespin Fairy dolls and Craft Stick Fairies...
There is just something about fairies that keeps us believing and imagining...I'm not sure whether it's their size or their magic that draws us in. Perhaps, and more likely, it's the adventures that their size and magic allows them to go on that really draws us in and makes us believe. A fairy can be anywhere, go anywhere and do anything!
What more could one want!
I imagine, now that the weather is beginning to warm, that we will find ourselves soon climbing back into our hammock to relax and tell stories... And those stories will likely be about fairy adventures of one sort of the other. We will find, while we are tidying up the garden that the fairy homes and bells need to be tidied as well. And, surely we will find a few new fairy homes as well...
Of course, thanks to Peter Pan and Tinkerbell, our love of fairies doesn't always stop just at fairies! There is quite a bit of pirate talk around here as well! We've all got our own pirate names. Many of which change depending on the day, but we can always count on Daddy's Captain Weird Beard!
As I said earlier, with the weather growing warmer more and more of our time will be spent outside leaving more space for our imagination to run "wild"! And now, with the release of the All-New Tinker Bell Movie, The Pirate Fairy now available on Blu-ray and Digital HD (and on Facebook!), we will have some new characters to play and enjoy and bring to life!
I'm excited to see what new play and craft ideas come to us after watching this new movie, especially since Peter Pan and the Tinkerbell movies are already favorites of ours!
In fact, I've already begun to search through some of my favorite Pinterest boards for ideas!
For all things Pirate and Fairy... Disney's The Pirate Fairy pinterest board
Please check them out! Those pinterest boards are filled with so much goodness!
The magic, the fun, the imagination, that is what childhood is all about! Pretending to be a pirate or making homes for fairies or telling tales of villains and princesses...it's childhood!
I was compensated for my time to write this post, but all opinions are 100% mine.
