One thing that is perpetually on every holiday wish list...World Peace. I think I've figured out a way to make that happen. Or, at least imagine that it happened. Turn off the radio and the television and just tune in to Christmas music! Ha ha! I am only partly kidding. We began playing Christmas music several days ago and since then I have missed many NPR news updates (yes, I do realize that this is not necessarily a good thing...) which makes everything just seem more peaceful!

Every year Brad and I spend much of the month of December trying to put together an original feeling and sounding play list of Christmas music and then make CDs for our families. We have a lot of fun doing it, it is one of those things that we do well together, making "mix tapes" and cover art too! Last year's cd was really fantastic! So, go ahead check out one, or more, or all of the songs turn them up loud and enjoy World Peace (or enjoy pretending there is Peace on Earth).
And, whatever you do, do not listen to the saddest Christmas song ever, "The Cat Carol"! Seriously! This song is saddest thing ever. I have found myself completely enjoying some jolly Christmas music and then suddenly this song creeps in. No matter what I am in the middle of I find myself with tears streaming down my face! Once I was covered in flour and up to my eyeballs in Christmas cookies and had to stop just to let it all out...maybe it was good, I suppose, cathartic, but still...don't listen!
