We had another birthday party this weekend! YAY, because that means some kid fun and some adult chatting...oh yeah, and another reason for me to pull out my Wee Wonderfuls book!!
I am on my way to making every adorable little doll from this book! ;) Well, not really, there are still so many I haven't made.
This birthday party was for a little boy who was turning three, yippee, a chance to make the Dinosaur-like monster in the book! Hillary calls him Koji and then says, "Can a doll be both cute and creepy at the same time? I should think so." And, that is exactly how this little guy turned out! Violet, of course, had some say in how he came together. Except for the brown corduroy, she picked out all of the other components. It was important to her that he be a "rainbow" dino monster!
He was pretty quick and easy to put together, although I did have a bit of trouble with the bottom fitting together just the right way. I think I may have cut the pattern a bit wonky in my haste to get this project done quickly. Anyhow, I managed to fix it, well enough.
Of course, both Violet and Henry wanted to give it hugs and "see it" over and over. That's the trouble with making dolls and such around here, no one ever wants to let them go, especially when they are made out of super soft corduroy. And, especially when they have such personalities!
So, that was my weekend! Hope you enjoyed yours!
