A, too silly, bird's nest...

I had a bit of brown wool roving left over after making some little bunny ear egg cozies.  So, I thought, bird's nest...

I made the nest the same way I made the egg "hats" but, for the nest I made it a bit more shallow.  Then I added a few little felted eggs...

Cute and tiny...

And then I had an idea...put it on a headband.  So I cut out a small piece of brown felt, added some glue and sandwiched the headband between the felt and the nest.  Cuter?...

Hmmm, as it turns out, not cuter :(  Violet agreed to put it on so that I could take her picture, but declared it to be TOO SILLY to wear!  

Ahem, too silly you say?...says the girl sticking out her tongue...

So, now it sits on the mantel...
