Today, a visit from Diane, from From Blank Pages...We were lucky enough to receive some great little packages in the mail the other day from her!! I say we, because, she was so sweet to include my little kiddos in the swap as well! Let me tell you, that floored Violet! Anyway, let me let Diane tell you all about it!!
Hi! I am so happy to be guest posting here at Buzzmills today! Jane was my secret partner for the Covert Robin swap, and I had so much fun making up some little goodies for her! Before I show you what I made perhaps I should introduce myself. I'm Diane and I blog over at from blank pages.... I guess you can stop by if you want to find out more. lol. Let's get onto the good stuff!

Starting out, I checked out Jane's blog and Pinterest boards. Her cute little ones are such a part of her life I couldn't help but make little gifts for them too! I remember when I was little how much I loved little pouches and bags to keep all my secret stuff in. I decided to make up some little coin pouches. (you can find the tutorial from Sew Timeless here.) I used velcro instead of the snaps to make them a little easier to open and close for little hands.
I love how these fold up to close!
Jane has such a great shop with so many fun handmade items! I figured she could definitely use a little traveling sewing kit! (tutorial by Lots of Pink Here here.) When I first saw these, I fell in love with them!
There are little pockets for projects and thread. A needle book, a spot for mini scissors, and I LOVE this strap that you can thread your thread spools on!
I sure hope you enjoy these Jane! I sure had fun "stalking" you and getting to know you better! and thanks for letting me visit today! :)
Thanks so much Diane, we all really loved our gifts!! Violet and Henry both proclaimed "That's cool!" after opening their tissue and finding their little pouches. They were eager to find something to put inside them too! And, I can't believe my luck that someone actually made ME one of these darling little sewing kits! This is one of those projects that I have been wanting to do for myself for some time, but it keeps getting pushed to the back burner. This comes at such a great time too, as I am hoping to get some Spring sewing room cleaning done soon and now I can use this to help me organize the mess that I currently use as my mobile sewing kit! Thanks so much for the beautiful gifts Diane, and thanks for coming by to tell us all about them!
Oh, and ps...I love all of your fabric choices!!! :) Thanks!
