While we were at the beach some hand printed fabric arrived in the mail! What a treat to come home to!
From Rebecca in Australia, these fabulous cats
From Anna in Vermont, this beautiful "picture" fabric
And, from Susie, also in Australia, an awesome geometric print. Go here to check out her tutorial on how to...(I should have followed it, haha!)
I love them all! Aren't they fabulous!
I haven't decided what to do with them yet...but my wheels are turning...And, again, I am so happy to have been a part of this handprinting swap, I have learned things, including, the age old saying, "Practice makes perfect", so that is what I will do.
Also, not to limit myself!
Looking at the amazing fabrics in the Flickr group reminded me of that. I'm not sure why, but for some reason I had it in my head that I had to do my fabric printing with a block which was the intimidating part to me. It's not as though I am completely new to fabric printing. I have done freezer paper stencils on shirts and other fabric stamping before, but for some reason this time around it felt different. I think I over analyzed it...
Thanks again to Rebecca, Anna and Susie!! I love my handprinted goodies!
