Fourteen cups!! That is how many blackberries we managed to pick in about ten minutes!! HA! A lot...but not too much as it turns out!
Enough for some ice cream! We borrowed a friend's ice cream maker and made this ice cream. It's the first Pioneer Woman recipe I have ever made...
And it is amazing!! And perfectly purple!!!
There were enough for a super simple and purpley delicious blackberry pie as well...
And still more left that we froze. We were hoping to make jam, but for some reason I have a terrible time finding Pectin around here!! So, that is still on our to do list...These recipes have given me a new found love of blackberries. Not only are they fun to pick, they are oh so yummy to eat!
There may need to be another Kaplink, Kaplank, Kaplunking trip!
