Just because I love my friend Laura so much I decided she needed another table runner!
Well, actually it's just because a long long time ago we gave her a nickname. One of those silly nicknames that doesn't make sense, one of those "inside joke" kind of names, Stubbs Doily!
But we really do love her (and Brian!)
So, naturally, doilies often remind me of Laura, and when I saw this table runner on Pinterest, I immediately knew I needed to make one for Laura and Brian.
All of the cream/white doilies are from a little Amish store near where Laura and I grew up.
These two little colorful flowered doilies are actually from Brad's and my wedding.
They were crocheted by my mother-in-law and some of her friends and we used them to top little honey pots.
I thought it would be sweet to add them.
And, I liked the addition of the blues and greens here as well...
I think it gives the doilies a little bit of a modern twist on a vintage look.
Now, their table will be welled dressed. Now, we just need to get ourselves to their dinner table sometime, it's been too long since we've seen them, a year in fact!
