I have been wanting to make some new pillows for our living room for quite some time now.
I never did get around to making myself my own bird pillow...
Oh well.
But, still, I've been wanting to add a little bit of change to our living room pillows. Most of the things I have pinned onto my "someday a quilt" board are more likely for possible pillow ideas than a quilt (well, someday a quilt...). That being said, it seems like new pillows often continually get pushed toward the bottom of "the list".
But, then I recenlty won a little prize (as I mentioned yesterday) from Jenny and Angel of Stumbles and Stitches (yay) which included one of Jenny's PDF pumpkin burlap patterns. I was really excited to try out this pattern and make some little pumpkins of my own, so, why not make them into an autumnal pillow.
I used some Essex Linen in leather as the base for the pumpkins (I'm not sure what the other fabric is, I just thought it looked nice and fallish). You know me, I always love a good project that uses up fabric scraps!
I really love this pillow.
A perfect fall addition, especially now that all of our Halloween decorations are gone.
The kiddos love it too...and are often fighting over who gets to sit with it!
Yay, for a new pillow...it's a start.
This one though, might actually end up getting shipped off also (oops) as a little Thanksgiving hostess gift, we shall see...For now, we will enjoy it!
