Two years ago today...I took the plunge and started this blog after making a coat for Henry from Anna Maria Horner's book, Handmade Beginnings. It was the most real item of clothing I had ever made. Sure there were a couple of dresses for Violet here and there, but this was much more involved than I had ever gotten before. After making the coat I remember being so happy seeing him toddling around in it. I emailed my friend who had lent me the book to thank her and after sending off the email, thought I'd finally try to start a blog. And so it goes...
Today, I don't have anything "grand" planned (sorry) other than to say,
"I appreciate you."
That same friend, who lent me the book two years ago, wrote those three little words in my birthday card this year. It shocked me how much those three words meant to me. So simple, yet meaningful.
So, today, I really just want to say again, "I appreciate you." I appreciate that you come here to read, to look, to chat. I really really do, because, aside from my crazy love of creating, if it weren't for you then I'm sure I wouldn't still be here doing this.
So, thank you.
And for fun, I leave you with a picture of Henry from my first post beside one of him from this week...he still has that same smile.
Have a lovely weekend.
