Man, I totally missed participating in Celebrate the Boy with Rae and Dana! I was just so busy making and prepping for Violet's birthday party that I simply ran out of time! Anywho, did you guys see all of the amazing stuff?! You must check out the wrapups (here and here) and the CTB flickr group. My head is filling with ideas.
So, after the fact, I did get a chance to get in a little sewing for boys. We had a couple boy birthdays to celebrate. And, well, I love to give handmade gifts, when possible, so...
For our first friend, who was turning two, and who really really loves to rock out!
Drums on the front with silver stitching for the metal stands...
And on the back...
A rockin' guitar, with silver stitches for the strings...
He looks adorable in it! Or I suppose I should say Rockin' in it!
Our other friend turned four with an awesome dinosaur birthday party! He's the one who got this little guy last year, and, with the dino themed party this year I knew exactly what I wanted to make for him...
A dinosaur sweatshirt! Oh, this one was fun! I'm thinking about making a tutorial to go with it. Violet and Henry both loved it too, so I might need to make them one as well! Here it is in action...
I added dinosaur footprints across the front too.
On second thought, if this is how she looks while wearing it, then maybe not!
Scary!
The birthday boy who got this sweatshirt loves it too and has been wearing it a lot as I understand. I had a feeling it would be well used!
