Wowzers...so that was a crazy week of sewing last week! I've still got some things on my list to make, but those other things weren't really ever on my list for last week. I mean, there really is only so much you can sew, right!
I feel good about what I sewed last week though!

I admit, I get a little crazy about sewing kid clothes during the Kid's Clothes Week Challenge. It's hard not to, really. Once the challenge is put out there my mind begins to spin and spin and think and think about all of the things I want to sew or that the kids need. While I do sew for Violet and Henry throughout the year, I don't do it a ton. There is a lot of other stuff going on around here so sewing for kids is not always on the agenda. But, I do love sewing for them so KCW is a nice little nudge for me.
Why do I like to sew for kids? I think about this a lot and I think the biggest reason is just...because I can. In fact, I think that most people can. You don't need a ton of fabric. There are tons of super simple to follow and to sew patterns and tutorials out there. Just jump right in, that's what I do!
Other reasons...because I get tired of all the nonsense on the front of tee shirts, etc that you buy at stores. Because it's fun (most of the time). And, because handmade clothes are unique. And, unique is good...and THAT actually might be the biggest reason!
I feel like I had so much more to say about this all, but the truth is, I've got to get cleaning and such around here...But, I'd love to know why you sew for your kids? What's your favorite thing about sewing for kids?
