I am so unbeleivably excited to announce a new summer blog series starting on monday...BACKYARD ART CAMP! Weeks and weeks of art projects for kids hosted by myself and Melissa from A Happy Stitch! We really had loads of fun dreaming up this summer series and we think you are going to love it!
So...what is backyard art camp, you might be asking?
At its simplest, it's a whole slew of talented bloggers sharing art projects twice a week all summer long for kids aged 4 to 8. But, it's also more than that. Each project will center around one particular artist or art movement and include links to a pinterest board or library books that bring the artists and art movements to life. The accompanying art projects will help kids take that and interpret in their inspired way. Because, let's be honest, kids are already the best people at letting go and diving into art! Combine that great child enthusiasm with the incredible creativity in this pack of bloggers and these projects are sure to spark some amazing creative endeavors.
Who is involved in backyard art camp? The answer is SO MANY FANTASTIC BLOGGERS! This group is literally overflowing with creative energy and talent. In fact, we were going to have one project a week but so many people were interested we went ahead and made it twice a week! Besides Melissa and myself there will be projects from :

And that will take us every Monday and Wednesday, project-by-project all the way up to Labor Day! Sounds fun, doesn't it?! We also want YOU to get involved.
Admit it, the days are hot and long sometimes in the summer. These projects are here to help keep the kiddos entertained and sneakily going to kid art school without them even knowing it!
