Another day, another selfish sewing project...
A 241 tote just for me! I am oh so totally in love with this bag!
It has so many things that I love in it...green corduroy (leftover from Violet's skirt), liberty (from this dress that I love oh so much!), essex (of course!), more fabric from over seas,
blues and greens (inside Amy Butler Chinese Lanterns)
and a little bit of handprinted goodness for a pocket inside (from the handprinted fabric swap, thanks to Susie
Oh, and, just because I've been in an orange mood this week it seems between the scarf and the pillow I thought I'd add in a little orange embroidery here...
just on one side, just because...
I like it.
Yes, indeed, another selfish sewing project that makes me happy, just because. This bag is simply perfect for me. It's the kind of bag that is going to get me to go run errands just because I want to carry it to the store! Ahhh, yup, it feels good.
After spending much of my day yesterday making and pressing appliques for 32 shirts in the midst of a cold or allergies (not sure which yet) I wasn't exactly looking forward to cutting out fabric and pattern pieces. But, I knew that if I got the pieces cut out before heading to bed last night that this beauty would come together quickly. And it did!
Which means that I'd get to use it today!
So, who needs me to run to the store for them?
