A couple weekends ago the kids and I had a birthday party to go to. We were celebrating the fifth birthday of a friend of ours, and, as I often like to do, I thought I'm make her something special for her birthday...
I love to make things (if I can) to give as gifts. There is always so much love and care and thoughtfulness put into it, plus, it's unique! A couple of years ago I made and gifted the same little girl a pink kitty.
If you follow me on instagram you already saw the beginnings of this crown , but here are the details complete with acorns and mums and autumn leaves...
The pattern is from the book "The Creative Family" and it's not the first time I've made one, Henry has one that he's worn since his first birthday (second and third...) and last year I made one to give as a gift along with a "make your own story" kit.
I am so happy with the way it turned out, I almost didn't want to send it off. But then I figured that Violet and Henry and I still have time to make these autumnal crowns, which we made last year...
I packed it up in a little cardboard suitcase, which I got from Target. I must get some more of those suitcases, the kids love to pretend and pack up with them and they are perfect for double duty gift wrapping and gift all in one!
Added a luggage tag gift tag and we were all set, a sweet and imaginative birthday gift...
We hope she loved it because we had so much fun at her party which was at the Science center! We had so much fun exploring and learning... These pictures have also previously been shared on instagram...follow me!
Have a great day!
