Today's project was completely inspired by these amazing "Day of the Dead" magnets. After I saw Caroline's lit up ping pong balls I thought, I wonder if they have orange ping pong balls?! And, sure enough, Target did indeed have orange ping pong balls!
So, if you are looking for a little fun and not too spooky, project try these!
You can follow Caroline's video for the basic instructions, but you will need an LED tea light, ping pong ball, sharpie, hot glue and scissors.
Violet enjoyed helping to make the little faces on the jack o'lanterns...
And then, when we turned out the lights and turned on the jack o'lanterns...
Everyone smiled! "Yay, it worked!"
We didn't stop with the jack o'lanterns though...we had to make some ghosts too!
These faces seem to be more on the cute side and less on the spooky side, but...
The kids loved these, and each used one on their night stands for a little Halloween Night Light!
We kept a couple as just balls too...
...because, playing with jack o'lantern and ghost ping pong balls is a fun way to drive mama a little crazy!
Ha, ha, ha!
No go forth and light up the night with these fun and minimally spooky mini night lights...sure to keep the creepy crawlies away!
Happy Halloween!
