Birthday nightgowns have become a bit of a birthday tradition around here...years 4, 5, & 7. And they are well loved at that. In fact, Violet is still managing to squeeze herself into her nightgown from her fourth year, though I'm not quite sure how!
There's just something about seeing kids in mama made pajamas...it makes me want to snuggle them even more! This year's birthday nightgown, though, might be my most favorite to date...
Maybe it's the insanely soft and cozy fabric (catnap, by Lizzy House)...maybe it's the cats themselves, they are adorable!
Maybe it's the pattern (all you need jammies from Heidi & Finn) and how comfortable it looks...
I think thought that it's that her face lit up with excitement when she opened her gift.
That she couldn't wait to wear it.
That she still looks forward to these things at age 8.
That I still get to see her wearing mama made pajamas and that makes me oh so happy...
The fact that it's a twirl worthy nightgown does not go unnoticed by her either...
because I'm not sure you ever grow out of that.
