I'm not really a sweatpants kinda girl...I never have been actually. I've always been pretty much a jeans or skirts/dresses/shorts...kinda girl. I'm not sure why exactly, I think it has something to do with the fact that I just feel like I'm wearing pajamas? Or perhaps because sweats aren't typically the most flattering of clothing items? Who knows what my aversion is really...
I will say, though, that I've been oh so tempted for the past year to give the hudson pants pattern a try. I've already made several pairs of mini hudsons for both Violet and Henry and have seen so many great woman's versions as well.
So, thanks to a) a giant snow storm a couple of weeks ago, b) Celina's "Project Sew It" and c) some amazing sweater knit I bought on sale at Joann a while back...I finally made a pair of my own!
I whipped them up between sledding and shoveling one day and they are seriously the best après-snow fun pants to wear!
Yes, they do feel like I'm wearing pajamas, but I have learned to love a comfy pant! And, they don't look like I'm wearing pajamas, which is the really important thing!
They are flattering,
not like any other sweatpants I've ever worn before...
and stylish...
And besides...what else is a mama supposed to wear when out playing watching their kiddos at the playground? Awe, heck, who am I kidding...I was totally running around and playing on the playground equipment too! (And the kids loved every minute of it!)
Maybe I am, for the first time ever, a sweatpants girl after all!
