For months now, I'm not exaggerating, Violet has been requesting a new Rowan tee. Her beloved "Penny tee" has been accidentally showing her belly button for quite some time now (why do these kids keep growing so quickly?), she's still wearing it on occasion, but really just waiting for a new one to take it's place.
I had hoped to make her a new hooded Rowan for Christmas but didn't manage it, so I promised...for her birthday...
I'm trying not to dwell on the fact that I didn't actually sew it until the day after her birthday...let's not get caught up in the details, right?!
She truly didn't seem to mind getting it a little late, who doesn't like spreading their birthday gift getting out a little? Plus, this hoodie is so soft and comfy I'm not sure anyone would ever be upset receiving it, even if it was a bit tardy!
I love the little pop of polka dots on the inside of the hood...
Those polka dots also happen to go perfectly with her new polka dot pants...
Because, this girl, as I mentioned keeps growing and growing...and I thought that these polka dots and that print were perfect together...
Sort of "matchy" but not too matchy...
Right?
Plus the Wild and Free Lounge pants pattern is one of her favorites, and the fit on her is so spot on...it was hard to resist making her a new pair.
I loved seeing her in this outfit as she headed off to school...looking so grown up, but also perfectly nine years old...
She, of course, was thrilled to finally get her new Rowan tee and a bonus pair of Wild and Free Lounge pants to boot!
It's a win, win, win kind of thing!
